101 Ways to Gross Out Your Friends by Julie Huffman

101 Ways to Gross Out Your Friends by Julie Huffman

101 Ways to Gross Out Your Friends by Julie Huffman is a book that has facts about the human body.  This book shows that you can have fun with your friends while learning. It also gives you recipes to make a replica of the “gross” thing and the fact that goes along with it.  For example, there was a recipe where you could make a fake cup of urine like the ones at the doctor.

I like 101 Ways to Gross Out Your Friends because not only is it informational, it also has jokes that have to do with the topic.  You can also interact with the book by doing some of the recipes (some are not edible). With the recipes, it shows you what you'll need and detailed instructions on how to make it.

I would recommend this book to people who are bored most of the time or people who enjoy cooking, baking, or mixing, and also want to learn about the human body.

I would rate this book 3 out of 4 because some people don't like reading or learning about gross things.  Other than that, I think the book is organized and detailed but also has humor in it which makes it a lot better.

Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier is a story about a girl named Catrina and her little sister Maya who move to a place in Northern California.  But they don't like the house when they first move in. There's some electricity problems with the house. This story shows that you can have fun in a place you don’t like that much as long as you have a good attitude.  They move there because Maya has cystic fibrosis. She would benefit from the climate and ocean of the area.

When they move in, Catrina and Maya explore around the place.  They find an arcade and go in to see if there's any games inside of it.  While wandering, Catrina loses Maya. She looks around but eventually finds her.  But there was also a neighbor there. He offered to give a ghost tour. That's when Maya become attached to the ghosts.  But too attached.

I like this book because one, it's a graphic novel.  I like graphic novels because you don't have to imagine what is happening in your head.  The author imagines for you! I also like this book because it never gets boring. There is always something that is exciting and wants you to keep reading.  That's how I finished this book in just one day!

I would recommend this book to kids that like stories that are somehow realistic but also has a hint a fantasy in it.  I also recommend this book to kids who enjoy art and exciting stories. I would rate this 3.5 out of 4 because no book is perfect.
